    EPDM Rubber Expansion Joint
The rubber material of acid-resistant rubber expansion joint is EPDM, referred to as EPDM rubber joint. Acid-resistant rubber joint is used for pipes whose media are acid, corrosive. EPDM rubber is characteristics of its superior resistance to oxidation, ozone and corrosion resistance, and among all the rubber it has the lowest proportion. It can absorb a large amount of filler and oil without affecting its characteristics.
EPDM is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and non-conjugated dienes. Diene has a special structure, and only one of two bonds of EPDM rubber can make copolymerization, and unsaturated double bond is mainly as a cross-linked. The other unsaturated will not become the main polymer chain to only become a side chain. The main polymer chain of EPDM is completely saturated. This feature makes EPDM can withstand heat, light, oxygen, especially ozone. EPDM is essentially nonpolar, polar solution and chemical resistance, low water absorption, with good insulation properties.
Acid-resistant rubber joint owns great features: High internal density,  withstand high pressure, elastic deformation effect.
Strengths: shock absorption, noise reduction, light, non-toxic.
Applications: With the pump, the valve connection, larger pipe, hot and cold frequent changes in the pipeline.
Combined media: seawater, fresh water, hot and cold water, drinking water, waste water, crude oil, fuel oil, lubricants, refined oil, air, gas, steam and particulate powder.
Rubber joint made of EPDM is not only acid and alkali, but also resistant to erosion, anti-aging, and hot water.
